CPT Mike Lynch is a native of Springfield, Delaware County, PA. He commissioned through University of Delaware Army ROTC in May 2011 as a Distinguished Military Graduate and branched Aviation. He attended flight school at Fort Rucker, Alabama, where he qualified in the AH-64D.
CPT Lynch was assigned as a s Platoon Leader in 6-6 Cavalry Squadron and then 1-10 Attack Reconnaissance Battalion at Fort Drum, NY. He deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. CPT Lynch was then selected to command a company in the 10th Aviation Regiment. While in command CPT Lynch deployed his company to Kunsan, South Korea. CPT Lynch also served as the commander for the Harrisburg Recruiting Battalion where he was responsible for recruiting and enlisting Regular Army and Army Reserve applicants.
